What Are The Dinosaurs?

Dinosaurs are a custom mob added to SkyMata to enhance the player experience. They were added March 1st 2025.

How Do I Get a Dinosaur?

You need to obtain a Dinosaur egg. Some locations to obtain a Dinosaur egg might include the Jurassic crate if still available. (March 2025), the webstore after April 2025, other players, the auction house by using /ah, events such as KOTH, envoy, or fishing tournaments, and giveaways.

Dinosaur Taming

Once a Dinosaur is hatched it can be tamed with 4 pieces of ham from /shop in the food section. And when a Dinosaur is tamed it is owned by you. You can access all your tamed Dinosaurs in /pets.
If you have tamed a Dinosaur when you already own the Dinosaur you will not receive two of the same Dinosaur in your pets menu. The pets menu can only summon 1 of the same Dinosaur at a time. If you get a duplicate Dinosaur you can sell it to other players. The server doesn’t offer replacements for duplicate Dinosaurs since it is an intentional feature of hatching.

Tyrannosaurus Rex

Rarity: Legendary
Dino Type: Big Dinosaur

The Tyrannosaurus Rex is the rarest dinosaur that can be hatched at a 1% hatching chance. If you have this dinosaur you are incredibly lucky! You can tame this T-Rex with 4 pieces of ham from /shop in the food section.

Anklyosaurus

Rarity: Rare
Dino Type: Big Dinosaur

The Anklyosaurus is also a very rare dinosaur with a hatching rate of 3%. Its mountable and can be tamed with 4 pieces of ham from /shop in the food section.

Triceratops

Rarity: Rare
Dino Type: Big Dinosaur

The Triceratops is big dino that can be tamed with 4 pieces of ham from /shop in the food section. Its hatch chance rate is 5%.

Parasaurolophus

Rarity: Uncommon
Dino Type: Big Dinosaur

The Parasaurolophus has a hatching rate of 15% and can be tamed with 4 pieces of ham from /shop in the food section.

Brachiosaurus

Rarity: Epic
Dino Type: Big Dinosaur

The Brachiosaurus is the largest dinosaur by size and can be ridden at the top of its neck for amazing height. The Brachiosaurus has an 8% hatch chance. To tame a Brachiosaurus you need to acquire four pieces of ham from /shop in the food section.

UtahRaptor

Rarity: Epic
Dino Type: Big Dinosaur

The Utahraptor has an 8% hatch rate and can be tamed with 4 pieces of ham from /shop in the food section.

Dracorex

Rarity: Common
Dino Type: Big Dinosaur

The Dracorex has a hatch rate of 20% and can be tamed with 4 pieces of ham from /shop in the food section.

Tupandactylus

Rarity: Common
Dino Type: Big Dinosaur

The Tupandactylus has a common pull rate of 25% and can be tamed with 4 pieces of ham from /shop in the food section. When ridden the Tupandactylus does have flying animations but it hovers over the ground instead of flying high to be compatible for our bedrock players.

Armagasaurus

Dino Type: Tiny Dinosaur

The Armagasaurus is a tiny dinosaur that is mountable and can be hatched from a tiny dinosaur egg. Once hatched it is immediately tamed and owned by the hatcher. When summoned near a mob, it will fight to protect you.
