What is a Land Claim?

Land claims protect your land from theft, vandalism, and destruction. Lands also have settings for things such as mob spawning, water flow, passive mobs, messages, roles, and other permissions.

How To Claim Land

  1. Optional: Create a land with /lands create <name>.
  2. Optional: Enter selection mode with /lands selection or use the server's selection tool.
  3. Optional: Select both corners of the area using left/right click.
  4. Claim the area with /lands claim. If no selection is made, the chunk you are standing in is claimed. If you have never created a land, Lands can automatically create one with your name.
  5. Open the management menu with /lands menu or /lands.
  6. To run following commands against another one of your lands, use /lands edit <land> first.

Claiming Land in a Radius

The source guide lists /lands claim (chunk amount) for claiming several chunks at once.

Claiming Individual Chunks

Stand inside the chunk and use /lands claim.

Auto Claiming

Use /lands claim auto to automatically claim chunks as you walk into them. Run the command again to turn Auto Claim off.

Selecting a Land for Editing

Use /lands edit <land> so following Lands commands are applied to that land.

Deleting or Unclaiming

  • Select the land: /lands edit <land>
  • Delete the land: /lands delete confirm
  • Unclaim a radius: /lands unclaim radius <number of chunks>
  • Auto-unclaim chunks as you walk: /lands unclaim auto
  • Unclaim the chunk you are standing in: /lands unclaim

Add Players to Your Claim

Use:

/lands trust <player> [area or * for whole land]

You can also open /lands, go to Players, and use the Trust Player button.

Remove Players From Your Claim

Use:

/lands untrust <player> [area or * for whole land]

or use Untrust Player in the Players menu.

Toggle Permissions for Players

  1. Open /lands.
  2. Open the Roles item.
  3. Open the role settings.
  4. Configure permissions for that role.

Promote or Demote Players

Open /lands, choose the player's item, then use the menu's left-click/right-click controls to promote or demote them.

Land Settings

The /lands menu contains settings for your claim, including its name, welcome message, and protection behavior.

Land Upkeep

The source wiki says a land is charged upkeep every 2 days at $3 per chunk. Hover the Statistics icon in the Lands menu to view your upkeep information.

To help pay upkeep, Lands can be funded through the land bank, and the source guide describes charging members tax or renting plots on your land.

Useful bank commands include:

  • /lands deposit [amount]
  • /lands withdraw [amount]
