What Is Voice Chat?

SkyMata uses proximity voice chat so Java players can speak to nearby players in-game.

Installing Voice Chat

  1. Download the latest compatible Simple Voice Chat client mod from CurseForge.
  2. Install the correct Fabric loader and version for the Minecraft version you are using.
  3. Place the voice chat mod in your Minecraft mods folder.
  4. Start Minecraft and join SkyMata.

Using Voice Chat

Press V to open the voice chat menu. From there you can select your microphone and speakers, change volumes, and mute or unmute voice chat.

Because voice chat is proximity-based, players must be near each other in-game to hear each other normally.
